Asking Questions in Spanish

Explanation

Forming and asking questions in Spanish is simple. Spanish speakers generally change the intonation of an affirmative sentence to turn it into a question. Listen to these examples:
El profesor es estricto/The teacher is strict (affirmative).
¿El profesor es estricto? or ¿Es estricto el profesor?/Is the teacher strict?(Interrogative).
   Here is another example:
A Elena le gusta el té/Elena likes tea (affirmative).
¿A  Elena le gusta el té? or ¿Le gusta el té a Elena?/Does Elena like tea? (interrogative).
Depending on the type of question, it may be necessary to add a question word. Learning these question words is crucial in increasing your Spanish comprehension and communication skills. Listen to the audio clip and repeat after me.
